Hello Kate

I was one of the dozens of teachers in the audience at Thursday's preivew show at the NAC. I drove two hours after work and then two hours home after the show (I live between Ottawa and Algonquin Park), yet I am still energized from The Penelopiad at the end of a week in the classroom.

Congratulations to a superb cast and crew--the performance was outstanding, and showed no sign of the problems you mention in your blog. An absolutely stunning production.

Chris Hunt!
It's wild that people from across our beloved country are reading these little missives.
As for Koslo and the Cabbie. She went out at the dinner break and took a few pictures of the hundreds of bikes by the river... and decided she didn't even like bikes! So, no. No rock concert with the bikers.
Greetings to all in Calgary!
Love,
Kate

Thomasita,
It is indeed a wild ride. One could say we are alive. And as for the book idea, I myself have suggested the possibility of publishing an edited version. But it is great to hear someone from the outside making that suggestion! The germ is a nasty one, and we are all continuing the struggle against it.
Much love to you my sweet.

I came searching the web this morning to find out who had played Penelope at last night's (Tues 14th) performance. What a joy to find this blog! Thank you so much for your behind-the-scene insights - they add an extra dimension to the whole experience.
Congratulations and many thanks to everyone for giving us a terrific evening of theatre...and as someone who has just had 'the dreaded lurgie' herself and couldn't imagine doing anything more energetic than mixing myself a(nother) hot toddy for a few days, my admiration is immense.

My God. This whole experience has been an Odyssey to parallel the original. You really should compile these blogs into a book. It's such good reading. One can hardly wait for the next installment. I hope your cold is getting better, my sweet Katie. My love to Lisa and Koslo and keep buckets for yourself.

Hi Kate,

I've soooo enjoyed reading every word and seeing every picture in your blog. I hope your cold and your injuries are better. I sure wish I could see this show, either over there or in Ottawa, but it's not gonna happen. Hi to Jenny and Ms. Koslo. Did she go out with the cabbie?

love,
Chris

Dear Kelly and company,

it must be absolutely terrific to be in Stratford-upon-Avon and doing the play.
Here in Ottawa we can hardly wait to see you all.
Break a leg and enjoy yourselves.

Lynn and Suzanne,
thanks for reading! It's been such a great experience keeping this journal and hearing from some of the many people who are reading it! Loads of fun. Sending you both my best,
